Racism affects all of us regardless of what we look like. The elimination of racism is an on-going process that requires persistance, commitment and continuing dialogue between individuals and groups. The YWCA is committed to helping individuals, organizations and companies in Palm Beach County improve race relations and find ways to eliminate racism through constructive dialogue and meaningful action. The YWCA USA and YWCA of Palm Beach County have a rich history in meeting the needs of all populations of the community regardless of race.

The YWCA works with local agencies and organizations in the sponsorship of community chats (dialogues). Annually the YWCA is a sponsor of “Stand Against Racism” which takes place the last Friday of April. Local educational, and religious institutions as well as civic organizations, government agencies and private businesses are encouraged to participate.
